After making a strong start in the north, Steelbird has launched its wide range of two-wheeler tyres proudly in Northeast. The emerging young tyres and tubes brand with 50 years legacy in rubber and auto components has made its debut in the northeast from Guwahati. The official launch ceremony was held at Taj Vivanta Guwahati.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Manav Kapur, Executive Director – Steelbird International said “We are delighted to be in Northeast with 10 different sizes and 6 patterns, Steelbird’s tyres and tubes will be available in the aftermarkets of northeast India for a variety of two-wheeled vehicles and Electric three-wheelers. Steelbird International, with 5 decades of legacy operates in auto components and rubber segments in Asia and Africa, launched tyres and tubes for two-wheelers and e-vehicles at Auto Expo Component 2018, earlier this year. Since then, the company is continuously increasing its market penetration and had already received excellent good response from entire north India, including UP, MP, Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi-NCR.”
Better grip, safety and long durability are the USPs of Steelbird’s tyres and tubes which are targeted discerning urban and rural customers. On the launch of Steelbird tyres and tubes Mr.Manav Kapur said “Steelbird is launching for the first time in India a unique initiative by providing road side service to customers on Pan India basis. If a rider faces problem with tyre, (e.g say puncture) then Steelbird will provide immediate assistance resolve the problem. The customers’ just need to call on the helpline and road side assistance will be available on the location as in the least possible time.”
The mass market for two-wheeler tyres already accounts for almost 50% the domestic tyre production in India and is sprinting into the growth trajectory registering 13% y-o-y growth in the initial two months of FY19. And, according to ICRA, two-wheeler tyre demand, including domestic and exports, is further estimated to grow by 6 to 8% by the end of FY19. Steelbird Tyres is working strategically and aggressively to tap these lucrative opportunities.
